Happy Fall (or Spring for our Southern Hemisphere readers)! As the seasons change and we approach the holiday season, we have exciting news. The 2026 Penang Peace Dialogue (PPD), organised by the Commonwealth of World Chinatowns (CWC), held at JEN Penang Georgetown Hotel by Shangri-La on September 5 and 6, 2026, was dedicated to fostering conversation, mutual understanding and cooperation.
Dr. Sheng-Wei Wang was one among the internationally respected leaders and distinguished thinkers and scholars invited to give a keynote speech. The title of her speech was “Mapping the World and the Voyages of Zheng He – Why did China not Conquer the World?“
She also presented her three English books on pre-Columbian Chinese global exploration to thirteen of the distinguished guests at the PPD, which became the highlight of the event on Sept. 6.
The following four photos record the exciting moments when Dr. Sheng-Wei Wang presented her books at the PPD gift giving ceremony:

During the 2026 CWC conference, Dr. Sheng-Wei Wang also delivered two presentations on Hidden History of New Zealand on Sept. 3 and 4. The title of her presentations was “Chinese Explored New Zealand Long Before the Māori and the Europeans”.
